The dining room
As well as its beamed ceiling, stone walls and tiled
floor, the dining room still has its original limestone fireplace showing
traces of its use as a cooking range. The tapestry hung oak window and
French windows open onto the terrace.
In the opposite wall is a small, 16th
century aperture rediscovered during restoration, now containing a stained
glass window depicting St. Eloi, the patron saint of les
forgerons (the smiths). The long oak dining table and chairs,
upholstered in tapestry to complement the window hangings, can seat up to
twelve people.
A door in the corner of the dining room opens onto a
stone staircase descending to the wine cellars.
