The Tour apartment
(2 double bedrooms, sleeps 2-4)
The 16th century tower’s Gothic doorway opens onto a spiral stone staircase – wide enough to ride your horse up, leading up to the arched front door of the Tour apartment and giving views in all directions over Montreuil-Bellay’s slate-roofed, stone-built medieval houses. This, in turn, opens onto a light corridor leading to the living room and two bedrooms.
The dual aspect living room is furnished with two 2-seater sofas, an unusual combined dresser, table and chairs for dining, and a fully equipped American kitchen at one end.
The larger bedroom can be made up with two single beds or one king-size. It has a large wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.
The smaller bedroom has a large double bed, a fitted cupboard with hanging rail and shelves, a chest of drawers and bedside tables.
