The Gaudrez apartment
(2 double bedrooms, sleeps 4)
The Gaudrez apartment is named after the doctor and
philanthropist who lived next door. Its front door opens off the house’s
entrance hall onto a straight stone staircase with stone walls.
Immediately at the top is the kitchen, then, through a 16th
century door, a light, wooden floored corridor leading to the living room
and two large bedrooms.
The dual aspect living room is furnished with two
2-seater sofas, occasional tables, a pine table, dresser and small
cupboard. The TV incorporates a multi-standard video player. A feature of
this room is the 16th century window, rediscovered during the
restoration works, which now houses an oak-framed, leaded, stained-glass
window.
Both bedrooms can be made up with king-size or twin
beds. One has a walk-in cupboard, dressing table, oak bedhead and bedside
cabinets and two cane armchairs. The other has a wardrobe, an oak dressing table, bedhead and bedside cabinets and two upholstered bedroom
chairs.
