The Coach House apartment is a large, beautifully thought out apartment on two floors in the restored and converted Napoleon III coach house, part of the old stable block.

On the ground floor is a roomy pine-beamed living room with an open fireplace flanked by two 2-seater sofas. There is a Turkish rug on a floor tiled with natural terra cotta and an unusual Indian chest. An antique country dining table and rush-seated chairs, together with a dark pine dresser, make an inviting eating area with a table and six chairs, enough to invite other diners, especially when taken in tandem with the adjoining Stable apartment. French, English and international channels are available on the television.

The separate kitchen is fully equipped with pine units, including a double sink. If you like to explore the markets and cook for yourselves, this, and/or the Stable, depending on the number in your party, is for you.

The Y-shaped oak staircase divides at its mid-point to lead to each of the bedrooms with their original roof timbers. 21st century space technology insulation ensures not only warm winters but also cool summers. There is a choice of twin or kingsize beds with a fitted oak bedhead, bedside tables and lights, chest of drawers and plenty of hanging space. Rugs decorate the parquet floors. One bedroom overlooks the garden, the other has electrically operated Velux windows, a great hit with star-gazers.

Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room: large shower cubicles with thermostatically controlled water supply, vanitory unit and wc.
